Are You Applying Perfume the Right Way? - Master the Art of Fragrance

Most people apply perfume the way they were taught as teenagers -spray in the air and walk through it, or dab it on clothes. Unfortunately, that's exactly how you waste 80% of a good fragrance.

Target pulse points, not clothes. Wrists, neck, behind the ears, and inside the elbows generate natural body heat, which helps release fragrance gradually throughout the day. Clothes don't have that heat, so the scent just sits flat and fades fast.

Spray, don't dab. Rubbing your wrists together after applying breaks down the delicate top notes and shortens how long the fragrance actually lasts. Let it dry in the air naturally.

Apply on moisturized skin. Dry skin doesn't hold fragrance well - a quick unscented lotion or a light layer of vaseline on pulse points before spraying makes any perfume last noticeably longer.

Less is more. Two to four sprays are usually enough for a quality fragrance. Overspraying doesn't make it stronger for others - it just numbs your own nose to it.

Timing matters. Apply right after a shower, when pores are slightly open and skin is warm - this is when fragrance absorbs and projects best.

Technique changes everything - even an average perfume performs better with correct application, and a great one becomes unforgettable.
